What you'll be asked in the brain age test

Common questions
Are these tests accurate?
They are built carefully, with real task types, scoring that accounts for response speed, and a fresh set of questions for every visitor. They are still entertainment: unsupervised, run on whatever device you are holding, and not validated against a normative sample. The age or score you get is a presentation of your performance, not a measurement of your brain.
Do I have to sign up?
There is no account to create. Seeing your score at the end does take one step: entering an email address, which is how we send your report. The test itself asks for nothing.
Is it really free?
Yes, there is nothing to pay. The tests are funded by advertising. Seeing your score at the end takes an email address, which is also how we send you a copy of the result.
How does the 14-day speaking programme work?
Finish a day and the next one is emailed to you the following morning; the link in that email is what opens it. One day at a time, about ten minutes each, and the link to stop is in every message.
Can I take a test more than once?
Yes, and it is a genuine second attempt. Questions are drawn from a larger pool, option order is shuffled, and the memory tasks generate new material each time, so you are not answering from memory of the last run.
What do you do with my data?
If you give us an email address we use it to send your report and, if you agreed, occasional related emails. We do not sell your details to anyone — but US state privacy laws define selling and sharing broadly enough to cover advertising cookies, and on that definition we do share, which the privacy policy states plainly along with how to opt out.
One honest note before you start
This is an entertainment self-assessment. It is unsupervised, it runs on whatever device you are holding, and the age it gives you is a presentation of your score rather than a measurement of your brain. It is built carefully and described accurately, and it is still not a diagnosis. If you have a real concern about your memory or concentration, speak to a qualified professional.
