About
SmartClickz publishes short cognitive self-assessments and writing about the abilities they measure. It is published by Aucuparia Holdings Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus.
Why this exists
Most online brain tests are built badly and described dishonestly. They ask the same questions every time, score you on accuracy alone, and then present the result as though it meant something clinical. We wanted to build the same format properly and describe it accurately: real task types, a scoring model that accounts for speed, a fresh draw of questions per visitor, and a straight answer about what the number is and is not.
How the assessments are built
- Questions are drawn from a pool larger than each run needs, so two attempts differ.
- Memory tasks generate their own material, so the answers cannot be memorised from a previous run or from someone else's.
- Scoring uses both accuracy and median response time, because on easy items timing is the more informative signal.
- Score-to-age mappings are presentation curves chosen to be plausible, not measured population norms, and we say so on the result.
How the site is funded
The assessments are free. The site is funded by advertising, including optional rewarded video ads shown during a test. Those are always opt-in and always skippable: skipping withholds nothing and the test continues exactly the same way. We also offer to email you a copy of your result, and we describe exactly what we do with that address in the privacy policy.
Editorial approach
Articles are written in-house. Where the evidence is contested, such as whether working-memory training transfers to untrained tasks, we say it is contested rather than picking the more marketable answer. We do not publish health claims, and we do not present our assessments as diagnostic.
